Who’s the new guy?
Well, that would be me. My name is Joel.
Yes, I am the Joel, from The Rise of Franken-Joel. Welcome to my corner of the thought-void.
Kara has been nice enough to allow me to share my mind with you, though she’d probably warn you with something like: “be careful. That could be dangerous.” So be forewarned: my “thought-void”, is a deep dark rabbit hole filled with travels, food, and oddities like Electric-Baths. I look forward to bringing you on these adventures with me.
A little about me
I am an experienced Hospitality and Service Industry Professional. Primarily based in Orlando, I have worked for several prominent companies including: Disney, Universal, & the Department of Defense just to name a few.
Outside of my professional life, I am an extremely loving husband to my amazing wife Laura, and a devoted father to our two fantastic children, Elysianna and Joel III. My passions include traveling, coffee, food and wine.
I am also a Certified Sommelier. If you ever have a question about wine (or honestly pretty much anything), I am more than willing to lend a helping hand. Hopefully you saw something that we share in common, and I will do my best to share my experiences with you (both good and bad), in hopes that it will be helpful to you during your travels.
Joel Vodola is a wine sommelier, swing-trader, and travel writer with a culinary background. He has a particular passion for Japanese culture.
